WEEKEND...

2.28.2010

I decided to take a quick trip up north for the weekend... along the highway you can see tree's everywhere that have blossomed in pink.. was a pretty crazy site to see

The other night I had a chance to watch Food, Inc. which I highly recommend.  After watching this film you'll think twice about ordering from the Dollar Menu and probably turn into an Organic freak.  So while I was driving back down, it made me think about the cows grazing the fields off the highway.  I guess the phrase "Happier cows are in California" is correct, after watching that film.

If you ever drove on the 5 Fwy heading towards San Francisco, you know there's about a good
3-4 hours of farmland to your left and right the whole way.   On my way back home I was getting tired from listening to the same cd's over and over, so I decided to drive few hours with my radio on mute and appreciate the view.   All the pics above were taken while I was driving and couple times I caught myself swerving off the road.  Cars behind me were probably like WTF is this guy doing lol.  Sometimes its nice to just shut all the noise out and take in the surroundings...  alright on to the food

Erica and I went over to this Sushi spot called Manpuku's for dinner and was surprised at how cheap the prices are.   The spicy tuna roll was less than $3 which is pretty damn cheap and kind of scary lol but the other specialty rolls were around $5-6 which is a steal.   After an hour of stuffing our faces here, we went over to Yogurtland for some dessert than went straight over to La Burrita for some wet burrito and taco, no joke!

Went to a local liquor store near Erica's place and picked up a Choco Taco since I haven't had one in over 5 years.  But damnnn when did the prices go up on these things?  I paid $2.50 for this sucker, actually Erica paid lol but back than it was around $1.00... damn inflation.   But it was still pretty dang good haha.  Hope everyone had a great weekend.
