Last Sat. I had a chance to check out the OC Great Park w/ Erica, which had the Orange Balloon that went UP UP UP...
We had time to kill since there were couple of groups ahead of us to get on the Orange Balloon. The park had a row of tables with some chess games setup so why not? Haven't played chess in over 9 years but lets just say this game Chris 1 Erica 0 =) next time
The place was well setup and the Balloon ride is currently free so thats a plus. They had a live salsa band playing along with a dance floor so it was pretty cool...
Try to get there a bit early if you go during the weekend since the line gets pretty long. Got there sun up and sun is going down and still waiting...

Finally our time to get on board... I'm actually scared of heights so for me to do this... uhh yea lol
Here was the view from about 400 feet UP... Only thing we can make out was Irvine Spectrum...
Some reason the balloon reminded me of the book "James and the Giant Peach"... If your ever in the OC area should check it out...
